Siplet is provided by ZVRALabs (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This policy explains how the Siplet mobile app for iOS and Android handles your information.
Information stored on your device
Siplet works offline and does not require an account. The app stores the following information locally on your device:
- Your name, if you choose to enter one.
- Water intake amounts and the dates and times of your entries.
- Daily hydration goals and goal history.
- Reminder times, repeat intervals, reminder messages, and whether reminders are enabled.
- Wake and sleep times, preferred drink sizes, measurement units, and theme preferences.
Siplet uses this information to track water intake, calculate progress and statistics, personalize the app, and schedule reminders. The app reads your device's time zone to schedule reminders correctly. It does not request access to your geographic location.
Data collection and sharing
Siplet does not send your water logs, name, goals, reminders, or preferences to us. We do not operate a server that stores your in-app information.
The app contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, or third-party crash-reporting services. We do not sell or share your in-app information with advertisers or data brokers. Siplet does not access Apple Health or Android Health Connect.
Notifications and file access
If you enable reminders, Siplet asks for notification permission. Reminders are scheduled locally through your device's operating system. You can disable reminders in Siplet or revoke notification permission in your device settings.
Reminder messages may contain your name or text you enter. Depending on your device settings, these messages may appear on the lock screen.
When you export or restore a backup, Siplet uses your device's file picker to save a file to the location you choose or read the backup file you select.
Backups and third-party services
You can export your information as a .siplet backup file through Settings > Backup & Restore. Backups contain your saved name, water entries, goals, reminders, and preferences.
Backup files are not encrypted by Siplet. Keep them in a trusted location and share them only with people or services you trust. Siplet does not automatically upload these files. If you choose a cloud storage location, the selected provider may upload and process the file under its own terms and privacy policy.
Your device's operating system may also include Siplet's local data in device backups or transfers, depending on your settings. Apple, Google, and other providers handle their own store, backup, and diagnostic services under their respective privacy policies. These services are separate from Siplet's local storage.
Retention and deletion
Siplet keeps local information until you delete it or remove the app's local data. You can edit or delete individual water entries in the app and change your profile, preferences, and reminders.
To remove all local Siplet data, delete the app on iOS using Delete App rather than Offload App, or clear the app's storage in Android device settings. We do not hold a server copy of your in-app information.
Deleting local app data does not delete exported backup files or copies in device or cloud backups. Delete those copies separately through the relevant file manager, backup settings, or storage provider. Restoring a backup can restore previously saved information.
Security
Siplet stores its database within the app's storage area on your device and relies on the operating system's protections. Siplet does not add its own database or backup encryption. Protect your device with a passcode and keep your operating system up to date.
Contacting us and your privacy choices
If you contact us, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message or attachments. We use this information to answer your request and resolve related support or privacy issues. Our email provider processes these communications to deliver and store them. We retain them only as long as needed for these purposes or applicable legal requirements.
Where applicable, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and providing support, and on legal obligations where retention is required by law. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold, or to object to or restrict its use. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us to make a request. Because your in-app data remains on your device, we cannot remotely access or delete it; you can manage it using the controls described above.

This policy covers the Siplet mobile app. Privacy practices of the website hosting this policy, including any hosting logs, cookies, analytics, or contact forms, depend on that website and its service providers and are outside the scope of this app policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if Siplet's features or privacy practices change. We will publish the updated policy on this page and change the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of significant changes.
